Leadership
George and Pat
George Jarvis is one of the Elders of Airedale Church. He has served the church in a full time capacity since July 1989. George with his wife Pat moved up to Keighley in 1989 from Matlock, Derbyshire. In moving back to Yorkshire the cycle was completed which commenced in 1965 when they both left Yorkshire and set up home in Leicester. George had in 1963 graduated as an external student of London University with a BSc degree in chemistry. For many years in Leicester he worked in the nuclear power industry as an industrial chemist, specialising in the field of corrosion. In 1981 George and Pat responded to the call of God to serve Him in a full time capacity within the church and he became an Elder of Leicester Christian Fellowship. Under the direction of Bryn Jones, George and Pat responded to the call of God in 1984 to move to Matlock to take on the lead of the Community Church. Prior to moving up to Keighley, George was instrumental in bringing into being the group in Chesterfield which has now grown into North Derbyshire New Life Church.
George and Pat have two married children and four grandchildren, ranging in age from 19 years down to 2 years old. In addition to the enjoyment of spending time with their children and their families, who live in Chesterfield and Leicester, George and Pat enjoy eating out, theatre, foreign holidays and a host of other things!

Church Family
Wayne & Lilian
Wayne and Lillian Deakin are part of the Airedale Church, which meets in Keighley West Yorkshire. They live in the beautiful village of Haworth. Wayne is a parking enforcement officer for Bradford Metropolitan Council. Lillian is a staff nurse working for the Bradford Hospitals NHS foundation Trust.
Their relationship with Pastor Cleopas Gwavava in Zimbabwe began in 1986. This was by sending a subscription to restoration magazine so someone could receive it who could not afford it. This turned out to be Cleopas Gwavava who oversees several churches in Harare and Bullawayo and surrounding areas. The story of how that relationship developed and how God has used them in Zimbabwe has been told in the books they have written and these are available through Airedale Church. God has given Wayne and Lillian over 300 spiritual children in Zimbabwe.
Wayne and Lilian are instrumental in keeping the church informed of events in Zimbabwe so we can focus our prayers.
