Airedale Update

A Family Day
Saturday 7 February 2009

Gareth and the ministries with him have felt the press of God into their spirit to bring the churches together for a Family Day. This will be a time to enjoy a day with each other and before the Lord, to relate and share fellowship and word together. It will be for everyone from the oldest to the youngest. It is hoped that this day will be different to every other time we have come together. It will take place at The Riverside Centre - a congregational building in Derby, and will be from 10am to 6pm.

Covenant College 2008/09

We have received notification of a number of exciting one week courses which are open to everyone, as part of Covenant College 2008/09.
These are weeks of Core Teaching as follows:

• Christian Foundations, 27-31 October
• Doctrine of God, 10-14 November
• Kingdom of God, 1-5 December
• Humanity, Redemption and Covenant, 19-23 January
• Church and Ministry, 16-20 February
• Eschatology, 9-13 March

There are also three individual weeks of Encountering God at the beginning of each term. These will involve worship, prayer and devotion to fuel a passion for God and deeper intimacy with Him.
These are 13-17 October 2008, 5-9 January 2009 and 20-24 April 2009.
The cost per week for all courses is £200 residential at Nettle Hill and £75 non-residential.

Unwanted Christmas Gifts

If you have received any gifts that you don’t want and would like to donate them for sale, please could you bring them to the meeting next week. After the success of last year’s venture, raising over £100, we intend to have a similar stall again this year.
We shall also be selling DVDs. If you or your family have any which are no longer used, then please bring them along also, but please be sensitive to the content of these.

Grassington Prayer Breakfast

The next prayer breakfast in Grassington Methodist Chapel will be on Monday 5 January, between 8.15 and 9.30am. If you intend going please let Vivien Firth know so as to help with catering arrangements. Her telephone number is 01756 753061.

Lilies of the Valley

Please continue to pray for the coming together of the Lilies of the Valley project, Pray that the necessary financial support will be forthcoming, that good practical support will be available and that it will be powerfully used to impact particularly the single teenage mums of Keighley.
