Church Life
The life of Airedale Church is expressed in various ways. There are two primary emphases in the expression of this life. One is in the unity of cohesion of each member with the other. The second is in the expression of this life in its witness to those in the community at large in Keighley, Bingley, Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales.
There is a meeting of the whole church each Sunday morning at 10.30am in the Airedale Church Centre. Visitors are welcomed and even encouraged to come to this gathering. This will be a time of Holy Spirit-led worship and preaching/teaching of the word of God. Alongside this gathering there is work for children of various ages up to 12 years old and also a crèche facility. During the week homegroups are held in different parts of the area, in Keighley, Bingley and Skipton, at which the detail of church life together and a life of obedience to God is worked out. A meeting for Youth is also held mid-week.
Each Friday morning between 10.30am and 12.30pm the Oasis Café is open. This provides a warm and friendly atmosphere in which companionship can be enjoyed over light refreshments.
Over the years the church has engaged in many creative activities to express to the surrounding community the love of God for all people. Such activities have ranged from Open Air worship gatherings to free barbecues and free Christmas Present wrapping sessions in the local Airedale Shopping Centre.
