What We Believe

Our Beliefs

• that the Bible is the inspired word of God
• in the divine Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
• that the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ is the only ground for salvation and justification of all who believe
• that baptism in and ministry of the Holy Spirit equips and empowers believers for godly living and service
• that present day ministries and teacher are necessary for the maturing of the church
• Jesus Christ will return for his church then will come the judgement of all men

Statement of Faith

• The doctrinal basis of belief of the leaders and members of Airedale Church, in summary, is as follows:
• The divine inspiration and infallibility of the Bible as a originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
• Unity in the Godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
• Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God.
• The resurrection in body of Jesus Christ from the dead.
• The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.
• The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in each believer.
• The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
