in the divine Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
that the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ is the only ground for salvation and justification of all who believe
that baptism in and ministry of the Holy Spirit equips and empowers believers for godly living and service
that present day ministries and teacher are necessary for the maturing of the church
Jesus Christ will return for his church then will come the judgement of all men
Statement of Faith
The doctrinal basis of belief of the leaders and members of Airedale Church, in summary, is as follows:
The divine inspiration and infallibility of the Bible as a originally given and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Unity in the Godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of human nature since the fall, rendering man subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.
Redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin only through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Son of God.
The resurrection in body of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective to the individual sinner, granting him repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.
The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in each believer.
The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
