Affiliation

Airedale Church is part of a group of churches having a common apostolic foundation, in the shape of Christian ministries called of God to be apostles and prophets. As mentioned in the section on History of the Church the apostolic team responsible for bringing the church into being was headed up by the late Bryn Jones. This was known for a number of years as Covenant Ministries International (CMI). CMI went through an evolution in early 2003 which resulted in several of the ministries separating from it. The remainder now form Together and this is headed up by Gareth Duffty. Gareth is now part of the apostolic foundation of Airedale Church.

In outworking their relationship with Together, Airedale Church has a working relationship in West Yorkshire with City Church, Leeds and the King’s Church, Halifax, both of whom are a lasting product of the apostolic activity in the region in the early 1980’s. There is also included in this regional fellowship Christian Life Church, Shipley, which is headed up by Paul Hubbard who also carries an apostolic charge to two other churches in this grouping - Cedar Tree Church and Chellow Fellowship. Paul himself is also one of the apostolic ministries relating under the banner of Together.

Airedale Church also seeks to work with churches local to Keighley, and which are of various denominations. A good working relationship exists between the leaders of Airedale Church and local Anglican, Apostolic Church, and United Reform ministers. A recent outcome of this working relationship was a joint mission held in the town by On the Move.
